Logies 2023 Red Carpet: Where to Buy Celeb Outfits
In case you missed it, the 63rd TV WEEK Logie Awards was back for another year on Sunday night, with Sonia Kruger taking out the coveted Gold Logie Award.
Returning back to Sydney at The Star, our favourite Aussie celebs brought the glitz and glamour for TV’s night of nights.
The fashion did not disappoint with racy lingerie as outerwear, shiny metallics and sparkly sequins, and big, bold colours just some of the biggest trends we saw on the night.
“This year there will be lots of bright eye catching colours, like blues, reds, greens and metallics,” fashion stylist Donny Galella told news.com.au ahead of the awards show.
“We’ll see lots of big gowns, lots of voluminous style skirts, really long trains.
“With past Logies happening in Queensland, you had to factor in carrying gowns in planes etc. This year being in Sydney, means you are not as restricted with size and carrying gowns on planes.”
And look, while we know us mere mortals will likely never have such a glamorous occasion to wear the gowns as seen on our fave TV personalities (you do? Please send us an invite!), we can certainly take some inspiration for our next wedding, fancy event or even a special night out.
RACY LINGERIE
Take a leaf out of FBoy Island host Abbie Chatfield’s book and make a statement with a corset and bustier-style dress. No longer reserved for the bedroom or your underwear drawer, corsets are not only incredibly flattering, but look hot as hell and are sure to get heads turning.
Abbie’s black dress was by far the look of the night, with fans of the podcast host raving about her “incredible” look on Instagram.
“She’s bloody HOT! Just give her the Logie already,” one person commented.
“This is just a next level slay,” another said.
SHINE AND SPARKLE
It was all about the shine on the Logies red carpet, with celebs like Sophie Monk, Celeste Barber, Chrissie Swan, Laura Byrne and Sonia Kruger to name a few, rocking shiny metallics and sparkly sequins.
Whatever the colour – the classic silver or bronze, or a lovely dark red like Chrissie wears – a dose of shine and sparkle instantly glams you up.
RUBY REDS
Red was one the favourite colours of the night with the likes of radio personality Jackie O, Go-To founder Zoe Foster Blake, TV hosts Sam Armytage and Sylvia Jeffreys stunning in ruby red ensembles. Bold, bright and eye-catching, a red dress is sure to make a splash wherever you go.
BOLD COLOURS
While red was a hot favourite, celebs also opted for eye-catching block hues for their gowns. Sonia Kruger started the night in a gorgeous lilac dress (before changing to a metallic gown) whereas TV royalty Kerri-Anne Kennerley opted for a bold royal blue number. Although we love a classic black or white dress, bold colours inject some fun and whimsy to any outfit.
